Lyric Baritone, Voice teacher
Philip Chan has received his Bachelor’s Degree in vocal performance in Taipei National University of Arts. He studied with soprano Meng Chun-Lin and Mezzo-soprano Jopei Weng a well-known and famous vocalist in asia. He joined a masterclass with Maestro Leonardo de Lisi, who is deputy director of The Luigi Cherubini conservatory of music. Philip has also joined several opera and choir performances in Taiwan. As a teacher, Philip is passionate, encouraging and patient when teaching any vocal-lover.
Awards and achievements:
The member of The Association of Vocal Artists of R.O.C, won 4th place in the competition and received the scholarships of Nan-Hai Rotary Club Foundation on May 2019 , and received 3rd place in Taipei Music Competition with “Excellent” marks on December 2018.
Philip has sang in some prominent stages in Taiwan, including :
2017| Taiwan National Concert Hall, with a role of bartender Luther in J. Offenbach’s Les Contes d’Hoffmann and choral in Puccini’s Il trittico.
2018| Important roles took parts in opera performance class in Taipei National University of Arts includes: Dulcamara in “L’Elisir d’amore”, Falstaff in “Die Lustigen Weiber von Windsor”, baritone soloist in Gounod’s “Mass in C”.
2019| Performed as Fabrizio in La gazza Ladra, and choral in Beethoven’s 9th Symphony in Taiwan National Concert Hall.
