Intensive Theory Course

Our intensive theory course is designed for introductory students, who have no prior knowledge of music theory.

This course best aids introductory students who are beginning to learn an instrument.

8 Lessons / One hour each time.

Introductory Theory

Our introductory theory course is for students who wish to begin learning music theory.

Students take continuous lessons and are guided through a syllabus which determines when they finish the level.

Students learn basic music theory - reading notes, key signatures, rhythms, learning musical terminology, notation, etc.
Little League
Baroque Theory

Begins with music of the the Renaissance and Baroque era.

Students learn the history, counterpoint, figured bass, ornamentation and improvisation.

Students learn the music of composers like: Palestrina, Monteverdi, Bach, Scarlatti, Handel etc.

Students are encouraged to compose music similar to the styles in this era.

Classical Theory

At the intermediate level, students focus more on music of the classical era.

History, harmonies and style of writing.

Students learn the works of composers like: Mozart, early Beethoven, Haydn

Students learn about music of the romantic era, 20th century music and onwards.

Students learn the music of composers like: Tchaikovsky, Schumann & Clara Schumann, Liszt, Chopin, Verdi, Britten, Scriabin, Schoenberg etc.
