Instructor: AZNUL HAIDI BIN MOHD AZMI

Malaysian Composer, Aznul Haidi bin Mohd Azmi attained a scholarship from MARA and was chosen to continue his studies in music at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston (USA). He got a Bachelor of Honors in music, specializing in composition of popular and commercial music. After his studies, he was offered a senior position at Malaysia Airlines, in their aviation corporate communications department in 1991. While he was there, he was also a conductor for their 38 member orchestra. After working for Malaysia Airlines, he transitioned into education where he became a lecturer for a few institutions including IPTA, IPTS, ASWARA, UM and UiTM. Aznul has also worked with the TV3 subsidary, Ambang Klasik Sdn Bhd in 1996 as a production executive. He is also involved in songwriting for local artists like Anuar Zain, Amy Mastura, Aqasha, Ashira, Anis Suraya, Kumpulan Senario and Puteri Sinaran. He was involved in releasing an album in 2011 titled 'Siapa Peduli?' by MAPIM as a fundraiser to build a children's hospital in Gaza. Among his achievements, his other accolades include: Winner of Berklee Songwriting Competition (1988) and (1989), Finalist o f Juara Lagu (1998) Bila Resah sang by Anuar Zain, won a Music Authors Copyright Protection Award (1999), and got best score for Malaysia Film Festival (2003). In 2002 he furthered his studies at UKM and completed his MBA. He is now a lecturer for music faculty of Universiti Teknologi MARA, and is creditted for developing new school curriculums for the composition department at Sarjana Muda Perniagaan Muzik.
