Violin Masterclass: Dr.Joanne Yeoh

Join us for a masterclass with award-winning violinist Dr.Joanne Yeoh, is currently an associate professor at Universiti Putra Malaysia. She is also an accredited examiner for Trinity College London Examination Board. Amongst her long list of accolades, Joanne has also won Martell’s Rising Personality Award in 2008, National Academic Award in 2012 for Arts and Creativity, Malaysian Fujian Exemplary Performing Arts Award and McMillan Woods Global Icon Award. Most recently she received the Professional Achievement Award in the Study UK Alumni Awards in 2021. In addition to being a music educator, Joanne is also an active performer who has participated in a variety of summer festivals, orchestras and concerts with popular music artists, such as Jacky Cheung, Alan Tam and David Tao. She is also a sought-after performer by large corporations. Professor Yeoh majored in violin and piano at the University of Middlesex in 1998, where she received a First-Class Honors degree. She then pursued a Master’s of Music Performance at the University of Leeds, and finally attained a PhD from Heriot-Watt University.
